HOLIDAY MOVIE GUIDE: New Year's

2009 is coming to an end. [insert sad violin music] And, if you are staying in, celebrate the oncoming year by watching movies where some part of the world is destroyed (usually it is New York. Unfair, I know). It sounds morbid, but it is more of a celebration that the Earth survived another year and sticking it to the crazies on the street holding "The World is Going to End" signs. Yay!

Get Ready for the Apocalypse Movies:

Independence Day (1996)
2012 (2009)
Planet of the Apes (1968)
The Day After Tomorrow (2004)
Deep Impact (1998)
Armageddon (1998)
I Am Legend (2007)
Cloverfield (2008)
The Core (2003)
Watchmen (2009)
Mars Attacks (1996)
